This is the story of Paolo Gasparrini, a businessman who is relatively unknown in his native country of Italy, but who has nevertheless made significant marks in his career. Paolo is the president of L’Oréal China, or “Oulaiya,” as the company is called in the Asian country. His personal experience and professional journey in China began in 1996, at the dawn of the nation’s remarkable period of economic development, to which Paolo contributed through his role in expanding L’Oréal China.
